Vintage Statue of Infant of Prague - 13” Tall Chalkware Crown & Robe Baby Jesus Mid Century Religious Catholic Shabby Chic
A classic smaller sized Infant of Prague statue that is in shades of ivory, turquoise blue, gold, pink, light brown or tan, green, colors with a bronze colored base.
This vintage statue is marked on the side with the sculptor’s name -
The statue is chalkware and had a 1953 dime taped to the bottom for some reason - a mystery for us but meaningful to the person who taped it there.
The baby Jesus holds the world in one hand and is blessing us with the other. He is circa 1950s.
This statue of the baby King Jesus is in nice vintage condition and has only light chipping considering it is from the mid century. See photos for detail.
The infant’s light blue satin cloth robe is tied around his neck. His garment underneath is an ivory color with an embossed necklace with a cross and the letter IHS in the very center. The crown in his head is a burnished gold color and hair is a light brown. The base is gray. There is wonderful detail on the face and the feet.
The Infant of Prague statue stands 13 inches tall and is about 5 1/2 inches across at the widest point - the middle section. The sides of the square base are 3 1/3 inches long.
