Pair Vintage / Antique Metal Bookends Profile w/ Soldier Oil Lamp Ancient Motif - 2 Cast Metal Library Home Decor - Ca 1920s

Sorry, this item has sold.

Vintage or antique cast metal bookends that feature the raised design featuring a bust with long hair and a rounded helmet on. They appear to be wearing a flowing type of garb that has a round button on the top near the neck. Next to the person's head, on the left, is an old oil lamp. There are some embossed decorative swirls both above and below the person's bust.

This pair of cast metal bookends have a dark color and are rather heavy for their smaller type size.

It would be a great library or home decor item with such wonderful patina.

Measure 4 /2" high and are 3 3/4" wide. They are 1 3/4" deep.

The bookends are nice vintage or antique condition with lots of patina and wear. This pair is probably circa 1920-1940s.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
