Vintage Glass & Silver Plate Bowl / Centerpiece or Low Pedestal Dish - Retro Kitchen Serving Home Decor Made in Italy
Beautiful glass and silver plate bowl or centerpiece that has a round inner shape but the outside is angular. That is because the sides are unique being made up of ten 2 1/2" long rectangular shaped sections on the top of the glass bowl piece and then another ten 2 1/4" long sections underneath.
There is a round silver plate base section that is about 1 1/3" high at the bottom of this bowl.
The very bottom is signed ITALY in the clear glass. Best guess is circa mid century in age.
This heavy bowl or centerpiece is made of thick glass - see photos - and is quite the eye-catcher!
The bowl is measures 8 7/8" in diameter across the bowl and is 4 1/2" tall. The silver plate base has a 6" diameter.
This retro glass bowl is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The silver plate has patina - I did not polish as some folks like patina.
Great as a fruit bowl or as a centerpiece!
