Vintage Red Amberina & Clear Art Glass Bowl - Small Dish with Ruffled / Ruffle Edges - Flower Motif Mid Century mod Retro MCM Home Decor

Vintage red amberina and clear Art Glass dish or bowl from the mid century. The top edges of this small art glass dish are frilled or ruffled and the bottom has smaller short pedestal round base. The bowl has clear glass on the bottom and a bright red glass on the top with an orange color in the center.

This bright and eye-catching art glass bowl has a rippled or frilly or wavy top in glass - there are five waves or frills at the top that remind one of a floral design that curve downward toward the base of the bowl. The very top edges in between these flower petal shapes are pressed inward and show the red glass. Both the color and shape are what make this piece unique - a real eye-catcher!

The glass is hand blown as evidenced by the bubbles in the glass in various places. Piece is circa 1960s.

The small retro bowl is approx. 2 7/8” tall (at tallest point). The top is 6 1/4” across. The round base is about 2" in diameter. The glass is heavy/thick glass and weighs just shy of 2 1/ 2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

This mid home decor item is nice vintage condition. A few bubbles in the glass typical of blown glass. Underneath one of the petal shapes there is a misshapen spot with some pitting that can be seen upon close inspection when it is upside down. There is some scratching on the very bottom of this bowl as would be expected. All in all, wear consistent with vintage age which is circa mid century - see photos for detail.
