2 Mid Century Georges Briard Tortoise Band Double Old Fashioned Tumblers - Signed Vintage Gold & Brown Retro Kitchen Decor Serving Barware

Great set of two double old fashioned glasses with bold brown gold designs with no cracks or chips in the glass. The wide band in the middle is supposed to be a tortoise shell pattern. It has tow thin gold lines above and below this wide center band of variegated brown colors. The gold signature of designer Georges Briard is below the bottom two gold lines.

Great vintage mid century items signed by Georges Briard in bottom corner of each in gold. See NOTE about Georges Briard below. This pair of large tumblers or double old fashioned sized glasses have some great mid century lines common in the 1950s and 1960s and typical of Georges Briard.

NOTE:
Georges Briard was a noted, award winning designer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. He is most well known for his signature dishware and glassware - everything from cups and plates to gold plated serving dishes.

The glasses measure 4" high and are 3 1/4" in diameter at the base and at the top opening.

In fair vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Some wear to the gold lines of trim - one of the glasses shows more wear than the other. See photos for detail. Item price reflects condition.
