A great looking old clock made by the National Call. It is a large faced round table clock that has an alarm bell that works, while the time keeping function does not. It could be used as a decor item as it brings a lot of the 1940s to you with its shape, color, and size. This silver metal clock stands up using two legs on the front and a little stand leg on the back. There are round and oval wind up rings on the top and the back.
Front says THE NATIONAL CALL 8 DAY ALARM REG US PAT OFFICE. The backing on the front where the face is has turned yellow with age.
This was originally an alarm clock but it does not wind up and does not keep time. The bell can be made to sound thought and it is a louder type of bell alarm.
Measures 5 1/2" in diameter and it is 3 1/4" deep including the back leg.
In fair vintage condition as it does not work to keep time and has lots of patina and wear as well as yellowing of the front face but, it has loads of charm and would be a great home decor accent peice.
