A Westmoreland Wedding Roses and Bows wedding bowl and lid that was made in the mid century (circa 1955).

This piece is a hand painted Square white milk glass Glass Tall Candy Dish, Candy Jar or Wedding Cake Box from the 1950s. This piece has pink florals with purple bows painted on it. It has a unique square shape on the top section as well as on the base. There are stripes of gold trim around the edges that accent the lines. A distinct finial is on the top and center pedestal section complete this jar's design. Topping off this amazing mid century item is the original product pamphlet that explains what this piece is and how it wears used for storing some of a couples’ wedding cake.

Yes, this type of glass box was meant for the guests, bride and groom to be able to take a piece of wedding cake home. It could be used for the same for any wedding today and would also make a great candy dish or home decor accent piece.

Measures 8" tall to top of the knob on the lid. It is 4 1/2" wide. The base sides are 2 1/2" long. The base without the lid on it is 5 1/3" high.

For its size, this is a heavy piece - weighs 2 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The painted portions and the gold trim look great with little to no wear. The original product pamphlet is included in your purchase.

A beautiful piece of retro home decor complete with a pamphlet with the history of the wedding bowl and some suggestions for modern use - back in the 1950s - that still work today!
