Red & Clear Glass Kings Crown Compote / Covered Jar w/ Lid - Pedestal Candy Jar Clear w/ Red Flash Color - Mid century Home Decor

Sorry, this item has sold.

Kings Crown with Ruby Flash by Tiffin Franciscan. This pattern was made from 1950 to 1962.

Beautiful red and clear King's Crown glass covered compote or candy jar with a lid. The sides of the lidded jar are decorated with a plain band at the top and then a band of the thumbprint dots and zig zag shapes are under that. The base has a matching design. The lid also has a plain band on the outer edge with the King's crown pattern (thumbprint impressions and the zig zag lines) on the top near the knob. The knob also has a decorative zig zag at its very top.

Measures approx. 7" with the lid on. Top opening is 5" across. Base has a 3" diameter.

This cheerful lidded jar is in nice vintage condition with no cracks. Under the lid, on the rim of the jar there is a chip - see photo closeup for detail. A flea bite chip is in the same place near the inner chip on the outside of the lid. Some light wear to the red flash on the lid - small but present. Price reflects condition.

Very nice red and clear glass art glass piece from the mid century.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
