Vintage 12K Gold Filled Locket Pendant Necklace - Retro Etched & OG Monogram - Unique Shield Shape GF Rope Chain - Edwardian Estate Jewelry
A wonderfully shaped vintage 12K gold filled locket that features etched flowers, a bow shape and diagonal rays with some rose gold filled angled thick sections at the bottom front. The very top of this early 1900s locket also has a small cartouche that has a monogram with the initials OG engraved in it that is surrounded by etched scalloped designs. The back of the locket is plain with no design and has a matte finish. The bale of this locket is hallmarked for the L. Manufacturing Company. The vintage etched and engraved shield shaped locket pendant necklace is circa early to mid 1900s.
Inside the locket are spots for two photos. The photo wells have a slight pear shape. The hinge for this retro locket is on the right and it opens from the left. Inside the locket are two frames that are ready to frame your photos inside this unique and eye-catching locket.
The retro pendant hangs from a fine link gold filled rope chain. The spring lobster clasp on the 20” long chain opens and closes securely.
The locket measures approximately 1 1/2" long with the bale loop, and about 1" wide.

The pendant is in fair antique condition with some wear and gold loss especially on the bottom front where the rose gold filled “rays” are seen. Some wear on the back commensurate with antique age. Please see photos for more detail of the loss of gold fill. Item’s price reflects this condition. Still a timeworn treasure to be worn and enjoyed today.
