Vintage Brass Buddha - Retro Home Decor Sculpture Figure - Heavy Siddhattha Gotama Statue Late Mid Century Home Decor

$45.00 $60.00

Great vintage statue that is brass and depicts Buddha, or Siddhattha Gotama, in a sitting pose with closed eyes. One open hand is extended upwards and the other is in his lap holding a round container of some sort. His legs are crossed and he wears loose draped clothing. The ears or earrings are elongated and hang down quite a ways and there is a dot in the center of his forehead, typical of depictions of the founder of Buddhism.

The base on this statue is an oval but has uneven edges so it is not a perfect oval shape. It has two layers and each has a raised rounded shape all around it - it has a pucker in the center where the two layers of the base meet. The bottom has a four leafed shaped in the very center of it.

This statue measures approx. 8 1/2" high. The slightly oval base has a 5" x 3 1/2" size. This mindful statue weighs close to 3 3/4 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

Nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks on the statue. Lots of patina and light wear commensurate with vintage age - circa 1980s.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
