Vintage Green Blue Glass Round Footed Candy Dish Jar By Jeannette Grapes Vines - Flashed Glass - Flashed Glass Home Decor Small lidded Dish

$21.00 $28.00

A blue green round footed candy dish by Jeannette Glass Co. The vintage blue and green glass candy dish, lidded jar or little storage container is so cute and colorful. This mid century era home decor piece has a unique round shape and raised grapes and leaves all over the sides and on the top lid. The finial is adorable with a little grape cluster shape.

The jar is an emerald green and blue and is flashed glass. The flash process was used in the art glass trade as a cheaper method of making colored glass. The process involves putting a thin coating of color on a base of clear glass. When finished, a new flashed glass piece was practically indistinguishable from solid color glass. The blue and green colors used in flash were commonly used - like this handsome little cake box lidded jar.

Measures 5 3/4" high with the lid on. It is about 3 1/2" high without the lid on. The top opening is 4" in diameter.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks - light wear to the green and blue flash all over. See photo closeups for detail.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
