Pair Vintage Sheffield Silver Co SilverPlate Holders Italy - 2 Two Candlestick Holders w/ Paneled Base & Top Mid century Retro Home Decor
This is a vintage pair of silverplate candle holders with wonderful paneled shapes on the top holder section and on the stems. The pair of medium height candlestick holders hold a regular sized taper - the well for the candles is deep and goes down to the bottom of the complete top section - about 2" deep. They have a top section with 10 panels all around it. The bases also have 10 panels. There is a round wafer band in the middle section that separates the stem and bases from the top candle holder piece. The candle holders are very sturdy set of two candlestick holders!
The pair have ten-sided bases. The pair are hallmarked on the bottoms, and are circa 1970s.
Measure about 5" high. The bases have a 4" diameter. They each weigh close to a pound.
Marked ITALY and The Sheffield Silver Co and SILVERPLATE on the bottoms. One of them has some black felt on the bottom while this fell off of its partner. The other is open and that is where one can see the hallmarks noted above.
Some wonderful patina commensurate with vintage age.
