Vintage or antique wooden hinged lid box that has dovetailed corners. The lid or the top that opens on two brass hinges in the back.
The top of this retro wooden box features two brass pieces that make it look like a little chest. The front also has two of this little brass accents that add to its charm.
There is a small brass latch loop on the top center that has a keyhole. The box sits on 4 square shaped short pedestal feet.
This rustic wooden trinket or storage decor piece has two brass handles - one on either side.
The wood is a light and a medium dark brown and the brass hinges and decorative edges have lots of patina.
The sides of the box have handles that have a nice design on the inner portion of the brass loops.
The key is missing so it does not lock but the latch does open and close as intended.
The top finish on the wood has a light scratching of a girl’s name “Sherrie” on the top - see last photo. The inside bottom piece also has her name scratched into it. There is wear commensurate with vintage age on the box overall.
Measures 11” x 7” and is about 4 1/2” high.
