An eye catching tall Art Deco era glass and silver plate table vase. The Loetz style art glass trumpet vase sits inside a decorative hallmarked Van BERGH Company silver plate holder.
The solid glass section of the stem of the vase is a beautiful iridescent dark purple. Inside the vase, when looking from above, it is a green and black swirled / striped glass - very unusual and quite striking. The top of the vase has a ruffled edge and the base is solid glass. This solid glass section fits into the silver plate holder.
The top of the silver plate holder has three ornate “wings” that are about 3” long that attach to the sides of the holder. The neck of the holder is slender and then it fans as it goes towards the base to be about 6” in diameter. All around the very bottom edge of the base is a small beaded border.
On one side of the base is engraved with the name “Amy”.
Underneath the silver plate base is hallmarked and says THE VAN BERGH S P COMPANY QUADRUPLE PLATE ROCHESTER NY.
Measures:
vase in the holder - 18” high
vase alone - 13” high
holder alone - 7” high
The glass vase is in nice antique condition with no chips or cracks. The silver plate base has patina and wear commensurate with vintage age. The base bottom is slightly out of round. This antique home decor piece is circa early 1900s.
