Vintage Purple Glass & Gold tone Metal Brooch - LARGE Simulated Amethyst Paste - Retro Pin Gaudy Retro Statement Jewelry
A large vintage gold tone metal and purple glass brooch that features 1 large purple oval faceted glass or “paste” gem in an openwork gold tone metal frame. The glass stone in the center is made to imitate the look of an amethyst gemstone. The gold tone metal has some nice ornate design elements on it and looks in very nice shape for its age - early 1900s.
The gold tone brooch is quite decorative and has some unique detail all around the oval faceted purple glass stone that is in the center.
The brooch has a pin clasp on the back with an early type of a safety closure.
Measures approximately 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". The brooch is 3/4" deep.
The brooch pin is in nice vintage condition with light wear commensurate with early 1900s costume jewelry.
