Vintage Kings Crown Clear w/ Red Flash Top & Bottom Compote Bowl by Tiffin Franciscan - Retro Tall Stem Pedestal Dish

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a vintage King's Crown-Ruby Flashed (Top and Bottom) tall compote made by Tiffin-Franciscan.

The pedestal bowl is clear glass with red flash on the top rim and at the base. The top bowl edge section is flared.

What is flash? Flashed glass is a type of glass created by coating a colorless glass with one or more thin layers of colored glass.

The sides of the bowl and the stem have an area with 8 thumbprints or impressions around it. The clear glass bowl at the top has these all’s round it as well. There is a line of zig zag designs above and below the thumbprint shapes. There are also rows on the base that have a raised zig zag edge.

The Tiffin-Franciscan Company made this Kings Crown pattern from 1943 to 1962.

The piece is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks - some light west to the red flash as shown in the photos. It is an eye-catching compote bowl in nice mid century condition.
