Vintage circa 1950's Karoff Foldable Wooden Tray with the glass roly poly shaped condiment and salt and pepper shakers still in place. The 2 condiment containers are a round roly poly shape glass bottoms and have round wooden lids or tops that sit on top of the glass bottom - there is a cutout for a serving spoon in these lids. The salt and pepper shakers have glass bottoms and wood tops that screw off. The handles have a brass center section that is textured with a black ends (that I think is wood painted black) that extend on each end of the handle.
This set has the original tags or stickers still intact on the bottom and has a printed Karoff stamp as well - see last photo. Someone did not use this item at all and it is in amazing shape.
The tray itself expands for the display of your buffet items and/or condiments. Great mid century serving piece that opens up into 3 tiers and then folds back for convenient storage. Has set of 3 brass hinges on each side and brass handles.
Often called a Folding Picnic Tray, they were used inside the house but were also intended to be used at picnics to serve condiments. They could also make a setup for a display of a collection or plants if you did not want to use the condiment containers and salt/pepper shakers.
In great vintage condition with some light signs of wear from storage on the wood and patina on the brass handles. Really a wonderful mid century serving piece.
When folded down, this expanding tray is about 15" across including the handles, about 7 7/8" wide and about 4" high. When expanded, it is approx. 30" from handle to handle.

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
