RESERVED FOR CLAYTON. Do not buy unless you are Clayton.

Olive green pitcher made by OTT & BREWER of TRENTON, N. J. This antique has the hallmark stamped on the bottom - see last photo.

Wonderful short and squat olive green pottery pitcher that is an antique piece of tableware. It has an ivory interior and some gold accent trim on the rim and handle portion that shows wear commensurate with an item that is over 100 years old.

The Ott & Brewer Company was started by Mr. Ott and John Hart Brewer and it became known as Ott & Brewer. Ott and Brewer Company operated from 1871 until 1892. A common mark on their tableware consisted of the initials of the firm name over the word “China" which can be seen on the bottom of this antique pitcher - see last photo.

Measures approx. 8" from tip of spout to end of handle. Body has a 7" diameter. Base has a 5" diameter.

In nice antique condition with some wear on the olive green color and gold trim and crazing. Upon close inspection there is a small chip under one side of the spout. Hairline crack on the handle. Item is priced to reflect these conditions.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
