Vintage Amberina Art Glass vase or compote is an L E Smith Simplicity pattern art glass piece from the mid century.
This bright and eye-catching art glass ombre vase has a large ripped / wavy top in red glass. The very edges have a yellow color when looked at at the correct angle. Large round and red body to this vase. The bottom is in yellow and is six sided (rounded sides). Both the color and shape are what make this piece unique.
The glass is hand blown as evidenced by the bubbles in the glass in various places and designs that come with hand blown pieces (on one portion of the glass it looks like there is a small line design going through the glass).
The vase is approx. 7'' tall (at tallest point). The bottom is 4'' across and the top is approx. 6'' across. Glass is heavy/thick glass.
In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some wear on bottom consistent with vintage age which is circa late mid century. Great home decor item in bright colors!
