Tall & Wide Vintage Apothecary Jar w/ Lid - Clear Glass Apothecary Show Globe - Wide Squat Jar Wedding Display Jar

$58.00

Large and squat apothecary jar that reminds one of the types of apothecary jars used at the turn of the century. They were called show globes and were used, sometimes filled with colored water in a shop's front window to draw attention. I believe this to be a replica of such a jar.

The main canister section is an unusual shape and reminds me of a heart shaped jar as it is quite wide and seems to bubble out. It sits on a short pedestal section. The top has a decorative glass round ball on the lid.

This is a large item and measures Approx. 13" high and is about 10" wide at widest point.

This apothecary jar is in very good vintage condition. No visible cracks or chips on the jar.

Would make an nice display jar or show jar for a wedding or other special event.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
