Vintage Yellow or Dark Ivory Celluloid Hand Mirror - LARGE Art Deco Mirror with Long Handle Beveled Edged Mirror with Unique Oval Shape
Very different shape vintage celluloid mirror most likely from the 1940s era. This hand mirror is reather large and hefty with a longer handle than most- weighs 1 1/4 lbs. all by itself.
The wide oval shape is also unqiue. The mirror itself is beveled.
The frame and handle are an off white/yellow color that has a very faint stripe or striated pattern in it. There are discoloration marks in the celluloid in various places including on both sides of the handle and both sides of the mirror frame - see photos.
Glass and mirror are in nice vintage/antique condition with no chips or cracks. Some discoloration on the celluloid as would be expected and is typical of this material. The mirror has some scratching and marks but is still reflective.
Measures 14" long by 8" wide at widest point at the top. The handle alone is 7 1/2" long. The mirrored oval section is 8" wide by 6" high.
