Vintage Chic Zanesville Ohio Pottery Vase - Ivory w/ Gold Trim Floor Vase - Retro Vase
Great Zanesville Chic pottery vase that is circa 1940s. Features an iridescent ivory finish with three gold flowers and leaves in a decorative placement on this vase. The most unique feature is a looping of two of the gold stems of the flowers on the one side that protrudes from the vase. The other side of the gold stem "grows" upward to the opposite top of the vase. This pattern is the same on both sides of this retro vase. The shape of this "CHIC" vase isn't exactly oval but has a wide "S" type of shape.
The footed base has a nice look that is leaf shapes with gold accents for the veins and edges of the leaves.
Measures 11 3/4" high. The top opening is a oval that is 6" x 3 1/2". The footed base is approx. 7" x 4 1/2".
The bottom is marked "CHIC POTTERY ZANESVILLE OHIO" in black. The words CHIC ZANESVILLE O. are also imprinted into the pottery bottom.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light wear on the gold, and some discoloration on the inside of the vase as would be expected an item that is about 75 years old.
