Lovely and graceful creeping vines and feather designs decorate this ivory or off-white colored vase that is signed MMA 1994 on the bottom. It is a reproduction of a Celadon vase. An original Celadon vase would have carved or relief molded designs under the glaze.
*Celadon is a term for pottery term referring to items glazed in a light jade green celadon color, also known as greenware. It originated in China.
The bottom of this reproduction Celadon vase has a wide bulbous shape where the vines and looped shapes cover that area. The neck has long and short feather shapes that reach up toward the top opening. A set of loops decorates the underside of the top opening.
This vintage vase is a real eye-catcher and is in great condition with no chips or cracks.
Approx 10 1/2" tall. Base has a 4" diameter. It is about 6 1/2" in diameter at widest part. Top opening has a 3 3/4" diameter.
