Vintage Syroco Ornate Wall Vase Holder w/ Glass Vase - Hanging Mid Century Home Decor - Leaf Tree Syroco Sticker Intact
A vintage Syroco brown (with reddish cast) colored wall hanging in the shape of a tree branch with leaves made in the mid century by the Syroco Co. of Syracuse, New York. The base holder has a clear glass vase with a frilly top edge that fits into the metal ring on the mid section.
This Syroco item is the composite Syroco that is wood based and molded - see NOTE below. The branch with leaves has a section with a brass colored metal ring that would hold a flower vase. The ring is screwed into the base section of this wall decor item.

The ring on the vase has a 2 1/8" diameter. The ring has a depth of 3 1/2".
Looking on the back, there is the original SYROCO sticker from the Syracuse Ornamental Wood Co. There are two holes drilled into this (top and bottom section) for hanging it on the wall. See photos.
Very shabby chic mid century or retro decor.
Considering this is a mid century item that is circa 1960s, it is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light wear but overall in very nice shape. Finish is shiny on the Syroco wood. There is some discoloration on the metal holder - see photos. The glass vase is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
NOTE:
Syroco is a combination of a wood compound and casting fluids that were then poured into molds. The finished casting appears to be hand carved. It was first made by the Syracuse Ornamental Wood Co., hence the name Syroco.
