Vintage LARGE Brass / Metal Eagle Wall Hanging Circa 1970s - Federal USA Patriotic Heavy Bald Eagle Wall or Home Decor
Vintage American eagle metal wall hanging that is either brass or a brass colored metal. It is quite a large and rather heavy wall decor item. The eagle is in full flight with its wings outstretched and its talons extended, like it is ready to fall on some prey.
Most likely from the 1970s when bicentennial items were all the rage as the US celebrated it's 200th anniversary. I remember it like it was yesterday.
In very good condition with some patina on the metal - really looks great.
Measures 24" wide by about 9" high. Quite a wingspan! Is about 1 1/2" deep at deepest point.
Weighs 3 lbs. 10 oz. before packaging for shipment.
This item is unmarked and has 2 hooks for hanging - one on the back of each wing area.
