Vintage Brass Ford Car Bank - Retro Collectible Brass Bank Ad for a Bank - Advertising Piece Ford Model A 1929 Ford Auto Memorabilia
A vintage bank that appears to be made of brass in the shape of a Ford car. I believe this is a Budd-Built 1929 Ford Model A.
This "bank" was an advertising piece that was used by a bank - the letter appears to say Bath Savings Institution. The top of this vintage or antique bank still has some faded lettering - "BATH SAVINGS INSTITUTION", a round logo that looks like a penny, and the remains of the word COMMUNITY on the second last line. The other letters are not discernible.
Measures 5 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide. It is 3 1/2" high.
In nice antique or vintage condition with lots of patina all over. the letters and the logo that were printed on the top in white are faded and very hard to see/read. The bottom piece is missing - it can no longer be used as a bank due to this. Still, a pretty darn cute piece of advertising history.
