Vintage Glass Basket w/ Handles Mirror Base & Turquoise Ribs - Dainty Trinket Dish circa 1940s - Retro Hand Blown Unique Dish Home Decor

$21.00

A very sweet and unique glass basket or trinket dish with an oval mirrored base, a series of thin turquoise ribbing around the top edge and two clear glass handles attached on either side. The basket has a curved or pinched top opening on the sides with the handles. The base is a mirrored glass oval and has a metal underside.

The pattern of the turquoise ribs is not glass but rather a material that has been laid on top of the glass - it is raised. The two handles are striated glass pices taht are attached with a clear starburst of glass.

Best guess is that this hand blown glass basket is circa 1940s - 1960s when glass baskets of all colors, shapes and sizes were popular home decor items.

Measures 5 1/4" across by 4 1/4" wide. It is 3 1/2" high. The base is a 4" x 3" oval.

No chips or cracks in the glass. Some wear on the raised turquoise lines and some imperfections that were made in production that can be seen upon close inspection. Some discoloration on the mirrored base's top and bottom - see photos for detail.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
