Vintage Red Glass Serving Tray w/ Amber Bakelite Knob / Handle & Cut out Trim - Farberware Brooklyn NY - Art Deco Style Serving Tray

Sorry, this item has sold.

An eye-catching vintage Farberware red glass and amber Bakelite serving tray with silver (I believe silver plate) trim on the outer edges. The trim has six cut out areas that feature an oval shape with leaves in a cluster.

The red glass is clear on the center, then has a series of ribs on the middle section and then has clear red glass beyond the ribs. The handle is silver or silver plate with an amber Bakelite knob on the top. The Bakelite knob also has ribs, thus making it a scalloped shape.

Bakelite was manufactured between 1907 and 1927 dating this piece to that era. Very Art Deco in style and certainly unique.

On the underside it is signed FARBERWARE BROOKLYN NY in two places.

Measures 11" across and is 4 1/2" high to the top of the Bakelite knob.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
