Vintage mid century Syroco Wood ashtray in a round shape with three cigar or cigarette holders on the edges. This piece has a squirrel in the center who is surrounded by acorns and leaves. Pretty nature themed design has nice woodland detail. Both have the original Syroco Wood stickers on the back that are still intact along with some felt pads so they do not scratch the surface where they are placed.
This ashtray is in nice vintage condition and is shabby chic with lots of wear and would be perfect in a cabin, beach house, cottage or rustic decor setting.

Ashtray - 7" diameter and 1 1/2" high
In rustic shabby chic condition with wear all over commensurate with vintage age - circa 1930-40s.
NOTE: Syroco is a term applied to a material that resembles hand-carved wood. It is composed of a compression-molded mixture of thermoset resin and wood powder. Syroco molded wood is used for decorative pieces and figurines that are painted after fabrication. The Syracuse Ornamental Company was an American manufacturing company based in Syracuse, New York best known for their molded wood-pulp products that resembled hand-carving.
