Vintage Solid Brass Elephant - Ornately Etched Back Solid Brass Large Sized Elephant Figurine with Design - Retro Home Decor African
A large vintage brass elephant with trunk extended upward and ears out from side to side. This larger sized elephant has sections on its brass body where it is etched and made to look like a blanket is on the elephant's back. The designs on the "blanket" feature flowers, vines and some fringe on the edges. There is nice detail on the ears, tail and trunk. Two large tusks are prominently shown as this elephants trunk is upturned.
There are 4 little round brown felt tabs on the bottoms of its feet to try to protect the surface you place it on from scratching. There is a hole on the underside of this statue where it was cast from brass.
Measurements:
9" long from tip of trunk to end of tail.
8 1/4" high.
5" wide from end of one ear to the end of the other ear.
This elephant weights 2 lbs. and 10 oz. before packaging for shipment.
In good vintage condition with light patina and light signs of wear. The brass is still very shiny and could be shined more if you prefer a more shiny finish.
