2 Vintage Brass Candlesticks w/ Lion's Head - Pair Solid Heavy Brass Candlesticks - Two Unique Candle Stick Holders w/ Protruding Lion Head
Pair of classic brass candlesticks - lovely pair of tall candlestick holders that feature a protruding lion's head on all four sides. The pair have square bases and some nice lines on the bases as well. The body of the candle holders are also square and get larger as they go upwards. The sides, in addition to the lion's heads at the top, have a ribbed pattern on them.
The two tops have two different cup shapes for the candle - I didn't notice this at first but one is wider than the other - see photos for detail.
The lion's heads are set in an oval shape just about 1/2 way up each of the candle stick holders. They are very eye-catching and make this pair very unique.
Measure approx. 8 1/2" high and the base is approx. 3 1/4" sqare.
There is black felt material on the bottoms to protect the surface they are place on from scratching. These candle holders are hefty weighing in at about 1 1/2lbs. each, and just shy of 3 lbs. before packing for shipment.
In very good vintage condition with a nice patina. They have been lightly polished but could be further polished if so desired. Felt bottoms have some light wear.
Overall great vintage set - classically elegant and unique!
