Vintage Devon Violets Perfume Bottles, Atomizer and Vanity Tray - Mid century Bathroom Bedroom Decor England
A set of 7 pieces for a beautiful retro bathroom or bedroom! This Vintage Milk glass and clear glass Devon Violets set includes the milk glass and clear glass bottles that are hand painted, a pottery atomizer bottle that is round and a small oval filigree vanity tray. The bottles have the famous "Devon" violets on them. The atomizer has ceramic flowers in the top. In total there are 6 bottles and the tray - 7 pieces to this set.
The pieces include:
Oval tray - 9" x 7'
Perfume atomizer - (top and bottom) 3' x 2 1/2"
Tall 2 1/2 oz. bottle - 5 1/4" tall
Small white glass purple top (.6 oz.) - 3 1/4" tall
Small white glass green top (.6 oz) - 3 1/4" tall
Clear with purple top (1 oz.)- 3" tall x 2" wide
Clear with green top ( 1 oz.) - 3" tall x 2" wide
The gold foil labels on bottom read “Made Packaged and Sealed in Devon, England. Lownds Pateman Ltd. Torquay"
The bottles are in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is wear to the hand painted flowers on the bottles. See photo closeups for detail. The atomizer has some flower petals missing in the top and it does not spray - see photos for detail.
The teal green and purple hard plastic lids are in nice shape with no scratches, no cracks or chips.
Typically these types of bottles were souvenir bottles made in and around the 1920s and beyond. I believe these to be circa 1950s.
The tall milk glass bottle and the short milk glass with the green top still have liquid inside. The other containers are all empty but still have the scent of the fragrances still.
