4 Vintage Clear Stem Black Amethyst Base Wine Glasses - Horizontal Ribbed Bowls - Set of Four Mid century Retro Glasses

This is a set of 4 classy vintage wine or cocktail glasses from the mid century. They have a very unique look - the hand blown glass portion of the tops are clear glass with horizontal rings at the base and a diamond cut optic effect on the top part of the bowls. The bases are a solid black (very very dark purple) glass. Some call this color black Amethyst as it can be seen as purple when held to the light.
The clear glass bowls have a series of 5 horizontal ridges or rings that start at the base and to upwards to about the top half of the glass where the diamond design in the glass that goes up to the top. The glasses are rather delicate type of glass - very elegant and have a great feel in the hand.
The glasses measure 6 1/2" tall. The top opening has a 3" diameter. The bases have a 2 7/8" diameter.
The glasses hold 8 ounces each.
They are in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks - just a classy set of vintage glasses with a unique look and a nice heft in the hand!
