Vintage ModeArt 3 Strand Pearl Necklace w/ Extender Chain - Mid Century Golden Tone Faux Pearls Retro Jewelry - Retro Choker
A very mid century triple strand of faux golden colored pearls sporting a gold toned metal clasp with an extender chain. This vintage set of pearls was made by the ModeArt Jewelry Creations Company. ModeArt Jewelry Creations was founded in the 1940's by Arthur Pepper in New York City and was in business until the 1970's. The company's hallmark was eithet ART ©, ArtMode or ModeArt. Most of the jewelry ArtMode produced was of high quality with a broad range of designs.
The triple strand by ModeArt is choker length and is approximately 15" long when worn and extends to be about 18" at its longest setting using the extender chain.
The imitation pearls are all 6 mm in size. The fancy clasp is a gold toned metal in a decorative "V" shape that has a textured surface where the three strands attach to the extender chain. The extender chain has a round ball at the very end and there is a hook that is used to attached it to the chain links to adjust the length of this necklace by about 3". The "V" shaped clasp ends are hallmarked "ART ©" on the back side.
This classic set of gold toned imitation triple strand of imitation pearls is in good vintage condition with some wear to some of the faux pearls and the gold metal clasp extender commensurate with vintage age.
