Vintage Rhoda Lee Blouse w/ Original Tags - Retro Estron Mid century Women's Top Blue Floral Shirt

A vintage Estron Acetate blouse from the 1950-1960s in a blue and green floral on a white background. The original tags are intact and it has never been worn.

The blouse goes to the waist. It has a scalloped bottom hem and short sleeves. This mid century top buttons up the back. It is fitted with vertical waist darts on both the back and front. Lightweight and breezy! The tag says it is soil resistant and easy to clean. Made from Estron - an acetate material.

It is a size 36 according to the store tag. The tag inside on the label says 16. (I believe it runs small and fits like a size 10 or 8.) The original price on the tag is given as $4.

In good vintage condition with no wear but from storage - never worn as evidenced by the original store tag pinned in the neckline and the hanging manufacture's tag. (Yes, the used straight pins for tags back in the day.)

While I was in high school in 1972, I purchased this blouse at a dime store in Williamsville, NY, and it was old then. It was part of a closeout batch of items the dime store purchased from the Sibley's store in Rochester, NY. It was in storage from that time on as I was going to lose weight to be able to wear it. Now, 47 years later, I have decided that may be unrealistic. (Deep resigning sigh.)

NOTE: Sibley's was a prestigious department store and a landmark in downtown Rochester, NY from just after the Civil War until it closed in 1990.
