Vintage Murano Art Glass Bowl - Amber & White Swirl Folded Edges Dish - Murano White CRISTAL made in Italy - Retro Home Decor Glass Dish
Retro art glass basket or bowl by Murano of Italy. The basket has two petal shaped pieces that are not the same height. The longer side reaches upward with a very slight curve. The shorter side has an end that tips downward. The glass is an amber color and has a white swirl in it. This art glass piece has a clear amber glass border all around the edges that is about 1/2" wide - it appears to be cased glass with the white crystal glass swirl in the main areas of the two petal shapes.The shape of this glass basket or bowl is unique and graceful.
There are some air bubbles and bumps and depressions here and there which is typical of hand blown glass. The top ends have some bumps and depressions - see photos.
Measures 6 " high (on the higher side) and 5" wide. The base has a 2 1/3" diameter. Weighs about 1 1/3 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
The original sticker on the bottom says WHITE CRISTAL The artwork is done according to the technique of the masters MURANO" and then it says this again in Italian below that. The words "HAND MADE IN ITALY" are also on the outer rim of the silver foil sticker.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
