2 Vintage Tall Silver Tone Metal Ewers With Embossed Feather Design - Heavy Unique Shape Vase - Retro Home Decor
This graceful pair of tall silver tone metal ewers or vases have a stately design that reminds one of those used on “Game of Thrones” and great etched feather or leafy type of embellishment. This feathery pattern is on the body with a plain band in the very middle and on the top section of the bases. The handles have a nice bit of ornamental curls and feathery embellishment as well.
The body of these Ewers are hollow. They can be used as is or to hold a dry arrangement - they do not hold water. On one side of one of these vintage pitchers there is one small hole on the base that I am not sure of the purpose - see photos for detail.
There is brown felt on bottoms to protect the surface they are placed on from scratching. This pair of matching ornamental ewers is quite heavy - each one weighs 2 lbs. and 10 oz. so together they are over 5 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
They are both in nice vintage condition with patina, some scratching here an there, and light wear commensurate with vintage age. See photos for detail.
Perfect home decor pieces for a mantle or on either side of a centerpiece.
Measure 11" high. The bases have a 3 1/2" diameter. At its widest section, it has an approximate 4" diameter.
