Vintage Labavo Faux Basin Retro Wall Decor Mid Century Metal Water Fountain
A wonderful mid century faux lavabo that is in two pieces. The top portion looks like a water container or canister with a faux spout / faucet and the bottom portion would be the basin. On both pieces there is a design of a raised vine with leaves on it. This design trails across the basin in three places and on either side of the fake spout on the canister. The canister has two handles and a fake lid.
These lavabo pieces were popular wall decor items in the 1960s abd 1970s. The particular set is metal that this been painted an off-white with gold shading. This makes it look like a ceramic piece, which a real lavabo would be.
Measurements:
Top Canister - 10" long x 7 " wide and spout is 4" deep
Basin - 4" long x 11" wide and about 3" deep
In nice vintage condition with no cracks. Light wear to the paint. See photos for detail.
