A lovely pressed glass jar with a lid made by Imperial Glass Company of Ohio and called Hoffman House Amber. It was produced from 1960 to 1984.

This dark amber glass piece has plain rounded sides, a wafer on the stem and a wide round base. The top has a pointed finial that has slight impressions of what appears to be little tear drop shapes in vertical rows.

Measures 9" high with the lid on - to the top of the knob on the lid. It is 6 1/2" high without the lid on. The top opening has a 4" distance across. The base has a 3" distance across.

This retro candy amber glass candy or apothecary jar with a lid is quite hefty, weighing in at nearly 2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Very light wear commensurate with vintage age.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
