Bright and beautiful, set of 2 Nappy Fairfield Laser blue bowls by Anchors Hocking, each sporting two handles. This pair of blue glass bowls or dishes are very eye-catching and unique and would make great display items or serving dishes for nuts, candy or other party snacks.
What is a nappy? It is a small shallow dish, usually round and often of glass, with a flat bottom and sloping sides, for serving food.
The top edges are scalloped. The bowl section has a series of oval shapes that intersect each other slightly all the way around it. The handles on either side have little ridges on them and the very center bottom of each bowl has a sunburst shape.
The bowls have a 5 1/4" diameter. It measures 7" across from end of handle to end of other handle. They are about 1 7/8" high.
There are seams and some bubbles appear in the glass as is typically seen in vintage glasses. I believe this set is circa mid century.
In great vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
