Vintage Book chain Locket Necklace - Gold Tone Metal Large Oval Locket w/ Faux Coral & 2 Photo Compartments - 18" Long Chain w/ Floral Links
A large vintage locket on an 18" long bookchain that features embossed flowers and leaves on its links. The bookchain necklace has raised flowers and leaves on the links while the locket has a textured surface that features flowers, leaves and vine shapes all over it. The front of the locket has a raised tree with three coral (orange) colored beads on it that make it appear to be a peach or an orange tree. The locket exterior is textured on both sides. My guess is that this is a mid century reproduction of a Victorian style locket and bookchain.
Inside the locket are two photo compartments that each have the frame and the plastic intact.
The locket and chain have no markings and are gold tone metal.
The bookchain is 18" long and the links themselves are 1/4" wide. The locket is 1 3/4" long including the decorative bale section, and is 1 1/2" wide.
The retro locket necklace is in nice vintage condition with some patina and wear to the gold finish on the back of the locket. The spring ring clasp opens and closes securely. The loop for the closure appears to be newer (replaced).
