Vintage 1950s Georges Briard Coffee Perculator - Designer Enamel w/ Chicken Rooster Mushroom Designs Pot - Mid Century White Brown Orange

Sorry, this item has sold.

An adorable and hard to find signed 1950s Georges Briard enamel coffee percolator with all the pieces intact - the enamel pot, the glass top insert, the piece to hold the grounds and the cover for the piece. Georges Briard was an American designer in the 1950s through to the 1970s. He was known for his signature dishware and glassware, and this percolator coffee pot is one of his pieces.

This enamel coffee pot features a white background and a brown, gold, green, red and orange chicken (or rooster?) with some mushrooms, veggie shapes an egg shapes on the front and a mushroom featuring the same colors on the back. The top lid has gold diamond shapes around it in the center. The black handle has gold painted accents on the top and sides. The spout is also lined with a gold stripe around it and vertically on the sides.

This perky retro percolating coffeepot is signed on the front with the signature "Georges" to the left of the chicken and "Briard" to its right.

The retro coffee pot measures 6 3/4" tall to top of glass knob. it is 7 1/2" wide from end of handle to tip of spout. The coffeepot has a 4 1/2" diameter.

In nice vintage condition. The enamel is in nice shape with little wear - it may not have had much use. Even the bottom is in wonderful shape. Light wear to the paint here and there consistent with vintage age. See photos for detail.

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
