Vintage Brass Coal Wood Scuttle / Ash Bucket Made in England - Ornate Fire Bucket w/ Copper Studs & Movable Handle Fireside Home Decor
A vintage brass coal or ash scuttle or ash bucket for a fireplace that was made in England. This fireplace piece or coal bucket features an ornate arched line design all over the outside. The handle is plain with no embellishments. The bucket is brass and there is an adjustable or movable handle that can be moved up or down to either side. On the back end of this ash bucket there is a small grip handle making it easy to dump ashes from the bucket. There are 3 pegs attaching the handle to the scuttle bucket are made of copper. On both sides where the handle is attached it has MADE IN ENGLAND.
Measurements:
height- 15" with the handle totally upright. The bucket only portion measures 9 3/4" high.
diameter - 11" x 9 1/2"
The base has a 9 1/2" diameter.
In nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with vintage age. The finish is very shiny with the wear showing on the bottom inside and bottom outside section. One round dent is about 1" in diameter - see photo. There are a couple other dents that are smaller in various places.
