A vintage clear glass Serving Dish with a clear glass handle and a unique and wonderfully bold cobalt blue and gold painted trim on the outer edges and gold on the handle. The gold designs feature ribbon shapes, flowers and urn shapes that go around the blue band in four repeating sections.
This piece is a depression era tray and is circa 1940s. It has an round loop shaped clear glass handle with a curved top. The handle has some gold on the top in a kind of rounded cross design, and there is a thin gold stripe on either side of the handle piece as well.
The center of the tray has a clear glass section that has dark blue and gold on the outer edge. This blue band with the gold decoration painted on it is 1" wide. The blue is painted on the underside of the glass while the gold accent designs are on the top of the glass giving the design a bit of depth.
This retro glass serving or sandwich tray is 11" in diameter. With the handle, it is about 4 1/2" tall.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some light wear commensurate with vintage/antique age. See photos for detail where gold accent paint has worn away on the handle, the center under the handle and in various places.
Quite a lovely and unique larger sized serving glass dish or tidbit tray.
