Vintage Mohawk Pottery Liquor Jugs Pink & Ivory or Off-white Ewers - 2 Large Jugs w/ Round Ceramic Cork Stoppers - Retro Rustic Home Decor

Sorry, this item has sold.

Vintage pair of matching pink and off-white Mohawk R-4 liquor pitchers. These jugs were made by Mohawk and are listed as the 5-4 Liqueur Pitcher by Mohawk Pottery. They are circa mid century when Mohawk Corp. was in business in the US. They are an off-white or cream color on the top and have a banded pink or mauve/dark pink base. This sale is for the set of two - both are included. These jugs have their cork and pottery stoppers - pretty rare to find two the same and with their original stoppers.

Measurements: 8 3/4” tall with stopper in. Without the jugs are 7 3/4" tall. They are about 5" wide at the widest point.

The Mohawk Corporation was formed in 1933. In 1966 it was sold to 21 Brands, and was then a subsidiary of Foremost-McKesson. Mohawk was still in business until at least the 1980s (according to Kovel's Antiques).

Both matching jugs are in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is some crazing as would be expected a vintage item of this age - see photos for detail.

This pair is a wonderful shabby chic or farmhouse home decor item!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
