Vintage Rosenthal SELB Bavaria Ceramic Bowl w/ Handles Floral Gold Band ca 1920s - Large Irridescent Interior Centerpiece Art Nouveau Era
Gorgeous large round bowl with by ROSENTHAL SELB Bavaria in an Art Nouveau looking design. Rosenthal porcelain was made at the factory established in Selb, Bavaria, in 1880. I believe this piece is circa 1920s and was intended as a punch bowl.
This large vintage large round bowl with two handles has an luminescent interior. The exterior has a light yellow background wash and has large dark pink and some turquoise flowers with greenery painted on it. The round base and top rim feature a wide gold band trim. The two swirled ornate handles that feature a woman’s face in the center are painted gold as well.
This striking bowl could be used as a punch bowl. It would be a fabulous centerpiece all by itself or holding an arrangement.
Measures 14” across from handle to handle. The bowl has a 10 1/2” diameter. The piece is 6 1/2” high.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the china. Some wear to the gold on the handle edges.
