Vintage Sterling Silver w/ Aquamarine Sphere Necklace - Blue Pendant w/ Globe Western Hemisphere Necklace on 925 Rope Chain - Retro Jewelry
Beautiful sterling silver and gemstone pendant that is a framed depiction of the Western Hemisphere. The sphere is encircled with an ornate sterling silver rim. The sterling pendant hangs from a 19” long Sterling silver rope link chain.
The round gemstone sphere that tests as an Aquamarine, is framed with a twisted sterling silver looped design and is attached at the top to an exaggerated length bale. The drop of the pendant is approx. 1 1/4” in length. The Sterling Silver twisted link chain closes with a lobster clasp - the clasp opens and closes securely.
This necklace is circa 1980s.

The silver pendant is not hallmarked but has been acid tested. The gem was tested on a Presidium Duo Gem Tester.
The box link Sterling Silver chain is stamped ITALY and 925 on one side of the link near the lobster clasp.

In nice vintage condition with wear and some patina commensurate with vintage age.
