McCoy 5 Pc Canister Set - Vintage Ceramic Kitchen Storage Farm Theme w/ Sayings - Happy Time 333 Milk Can Shape Storage & Cookie Jar w/ Lids
An amazing 5 piece McCoy kitchen storage set that features four storage canisters and a cookie jar making up this set that is in five different sizes. The kitchen set with the cookie jar is white with different farm themed decals and a saying on the front. The backs are plain. They have a round shape reminds one of an old fashioned milk can complete with some faux rivets on the seams. They are all stamped McCoy 333 USA on the bottom. These pieces are from the "Happy Time" collection and are circa 1974.
The cookie jar is the largest of the five canisters. The four others are in graduating sizes as noted below:
The approx. sizes for the ceramic canisters and lids are:
largest (cookie jar) - 10" high with the lid on and canister has a 6 1/2" diameter
large - 9 1/2" high with lid on and canister has a 6 1/2" diameter
medium - 8 1/2" high with the lid on and canister has a 5 1/4" diameter
small - 6 3/4' high with the lid on and canister has a 4" diameter
smallest - 5 1/4" high with the lid on and canister has a 3 1/2" diameter
The sayings on the kitchen storage jars are:
- From the littlest things great happiness springs. (This saying is on two of them: the cookie jar and the medium sized one.)
- Warmth and affection; near or apart Those that love stay young at heart.
- The happiest time I ever had was when I made another glad.
- The sky above and a book to love.
All five of the jars and lids are in nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with vintage age. Only one of the lids has a chip - the second to smallest. See photos for detail.
The set is substantial as it is all ceramic weighing in at close to 15 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
