Pair Vintage Brass Pineapple Bookends - 2 Heavy Cast Metal Retro Housewares Library Home Decor
Pair of vintage pineapple bookends made of brass. The tops have a 3 dimensional tuft of leaves or stems that are in layers above the pineapple fruit base section. The main fruit secion has criss crossed diagonal cuts like the surface of a pineapple. The bottoms have black felt on them to protect the surface they are put upon from scratching. the top leafy part of each bookend is screwed onto the base of the fruit with two screws. This retro pair of home or library decor items are circa 1990s.
Each pineapple bookend is 8 " high and 4" wide. They are about 3" deep.
Still look great. The pair are in nice vintage condition with some patina and wear here and there commensurate with vintage age - see photos for detail.
They are pretty hefty weighing in at 2 3/4 lb. each for a total of 5 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
