Vintage Single Benedict Proctor Candlestick Holder w/ Grape and Vine Motif - Retro Silver plate Candle Holder

Sorry, this item has sold.

A vintage hallmarked Benedict Proctor candlestick holder made of electroplated silver over leaf.

It features an embossed grape and leaf design with a round base. This retro candle holder has a sturdy construction and a great patina.

This retro home decor item is marked on the bottom with Benedict Proctor company stamp of BP 2491 EP LEAD. This holder is pretty hefty for its size.

NOTE:
The Benedict Proctor Silver Plate Company began business in Trenton, Ontario circa 1890. Around 1940, Wm. Rogers Company, a larger firm, bought out the company.

Measures 3 1/2” high. The base has a 4” diameter.

In nice vintage condition with lots of patina but still rather shiny. Has light signs of wear typical of a vintage item that is probably circa 1930s.

I did not polish that is as some folks like some patina.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
